Asian Cabbage Salad from Yan Can Cook |

Combine dressing ingredients: - quarter cup rice or raspberry vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil (I used Canola)
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp oyster-flavored sauce
- 2 tsp prepared Chinese mustard
- 1 tsp grated ginger (We found the Chinese ingredients at our local Asian market)
Toast 2 tsp sesame seeds in fry pan for 3-4 minutes, shaking pan occasionally.
In a salad bowl, combine:
- cups packed shredded Napa cabbage (I just used a knife to cut thin strips)
- half a red bell pepper
- 1 Asian pear or apple (really now, any apple or pear would be good)
Pour dressing over salad and sprinkle with sesame seeds. It is wonderful! |
